The final major edit of The Demon of Capra Town is done! Going to go through it one last time for syntax, then put a bow on it.

The artist for the cover is working on it now. Once finished, I am going to do a small Kickstarter for pre-orders.

Wrapping up this book, I learned something important about outlining the next.

Scene outlines would be better explaining how the character or plot is going to evolve, rather than the milestones and general actions. Both is better, of course. But the first is important

12 Chapters, ~75 scenes. ~110K words

For me, I was running a D&D campaign that just couldn't stay on topic or schedule, and I had a great story I wanted to tell. I started writing my first book, and realized I needed to set it up better, so it became the fourth book of the series, with a prequel trilogy.

I am determined to figure out what gets our little community interacting with each other! Today's question:

What made you decide it was time to start writing a book? Was it recent, or a lifelong desire?

I would love to find something with cloud saving and editor annotation features, even if just comments.

I use Scrivener for writing the bulk of the novel, but I also use Google Docs for the easy/built in commenting system with my editor (read, wife).

Scrivener has a nice layout for lots of notes around the edges

I also like WorldAnvil and Inkarnate for organization and creativity.
