It is a cop out. Injury = play stops. That’s the way the refs have always played it when it’s a forward or defenseman, regardless of how the rule book says to handle it. “Player safety is first priority” and all that. Goalies are no exception, therefore ref made an awful call. Keep being wrong!

He made a *bad* judgement call, which OP and I are rightfully criticizing. Wedgewood was badly injured, the play should’ve stopped when it happened. Trying to make it about how it happened is a cop out
