Of the 40 or so million people who rely on food stamps:

* Two-thirds are children, seniors, or disabled

* Most working-age adults who receive SNAP are employed—but in jobs that pay poverty wages

For me argentina is the easiest one because there's 40 million people on SNAP and we're giving milei 40 billion. "The president could give every hungry family a thousand dollars right now but he's giving it to argentina instead for no reason at all. He hates america"

I'm tired. We're all tired. This isn't hard to understand. You can't inflate prices of basic necessities like food and housing to ridiculous highs while keeping wages at poverty levels, then act surprised when luxury goods/services and large purchases become unattainable or payments unaffordable.

GenAI truly was the worst technology to come along at this moment.

An energy and water guzzler when we most urgently need to take climate action.

A disinformation machine as our journalism fails.

A bias machine as fascism takes root.

A job killer in a cost of living crisis.

kinda crazy how every single “just give people enough money to afford some basic stuff” experiments yield the exact same positive results that everyone benefits from every time, huh

i can walk near endless kilometers but if you ask me to stand for 8 hours i Will need 3 to 5 business days to recover!

A lot of people never learned the difference between unsafe and uncomfortable.

Just don't engage. There's no algorithm, so the only way people get attention is if we give it to them. Just ignore and let them starve.

Oh, that shit never works for me either. You have to know how to experience joy in the first place in order to embrace it, which is what a lot of those people don't get. You're not broken, but their frame of reference is so limited they can't comprehend where you're at.

I've been over stuff like this a lot in therapy. It's hard to figure these things out when you haven't had room for joy or happiness or practice listening to yourself.
