the good: I was brave enough to enter the pit for the first time ever, and I lived

the bad: I am terribly out of shape, and despite my youthful spirit I got winded after two songs. fell on my ass once, purely because of my hubris after the circle switched to push, and thought I could take it. oof.

places closing at 10pm in summer when it's finally breathable outside and I want to eat, and drink local beer :( Rome (my beloved) would never. stuck with pastries and cans for now, yay (yeah I'm a beer tourist too)

concert day tmrw, fingers crossed I squeeze in at least one fresh beer from the tap

and compared to the usual mall food courts these look awesome, and it feels good to just sit there and take in the architecture. this one also had an outdoor seating area where the train platforms used to be. I wish we had something like that back home

off to a concert trip to 🇵🇱 again, so I won't be very active for the next couple of days

it's a different city this time, but I found another food court located in an old 1800s building and I'm loving it. perfect spot for lunch/dinner if I can't decide (don't have to commit to a specific location)–

Writers should internalize Lao Tzu's lesson about how the emptiness at the center of a wheel is what makes it useful, and how a pot is valuable because of where the clay *isn't*. Corporate geek culture has warped us into thinking that negative spaces are flaws that need to be fixed.
