It’s been the Gloucester Folk Trail this weekend and town has been full of motley wearing, staff wielding, slightly terrifying Morris sides.

I’ve just used this as my cover picture for my David Seed fine art facebook page & someone commented “I like it but without the tale [sic]”.
The title of the piece is “Tale of a tail” so, no, that ain’t happening. My work is about alienation and difference using folklore as metaphor, so screw that.

A mat poo free morning this morning. I set her up a litter tray yesterday but she hasn’t used it.

It's corvid day in Gloucester. Every year or so the air suddenly fills with screaming jackdaws, magpies, and carrion crows. I've never understood why this happens.

I think it may have been a territorial thing. If she smelled the crap outside the door (presumably left by another cat) then she might have been setting boundaries. I might have to lock her out of the hall tonight though it’s getting a little tiresome coming downstairs to poo.

They told me she had a very full bladder that morning.
We have a new cat on the block that keeps attacking her. She’s no longer keen on going outside. I put a litter tray in the house after the first poo incident. Hopefully she’ll get the message.

She was at the vet’s yesterday morning for her annual checkup.

So yesterday my lovely cat confounded fifteen years of exemplary behaviour and crapped on the mat just inside the front door. When I opened the door there was another pile of crap on the step just outside the door. Bjork doesn’t go out the front so it wasn’t her.
She did it again this morning.

Someone told me lately "Bluesky is just like Twitter." I argued that was untrue on the basis that last time I had a Twitter account most times I got a new follower their bio said "single & looking for fun" & here when I get a new follower it tends to say something like "professor of rare moths".
