PS: I have yet to read Vera Wong's Guide to Snooping on a Dead Man

If you ask me, this book is the best way to close the series.

But as a I have mentioned in the first paragraph, I love Jesse Q Sutanto's writing, and she can keep writing all the cozy mysteries she wants (she's writing a new one now that'll be published in 2026 👏), I'll keep reading them.

And speaking of stakes, I feel the 3rd book The Good, The Bad, and The Aunties, raises the stakes to the highest. We're in Indonesia with not just the gang, but with Meddy's extra huge family. You'd think the 2nd book had topped the danger, but what about being entangled with a trio of gang bosses?

this time, while trying to hide a corpse. Don't be mistaken, the predictability of the scenes will lull you into a false sense of comfort. It's like watching a sitcom, thinking it's just for laughs, but they up it with random stakes.
