The other premixed shimmering inks are from Ferris Wheel Press, and Robert Oster.

The Wearingeul shimmer potions are powerful. In this instance I used “Dorothy” with the “Silver Shoes” shimmer potion on his clothing.
In his hair, and on the white parts of the clothing I used W’s “Half Moon with Dimmed Light”. I like the grey with blue glitter premixed in.

✨ Yes, a hand-colored edition of this Seiya print would be great to do. ✨ I like how both look, but the colors, and sparkles~~. ✨

Sound on, and up for the “nature sounds” provided by my non-human neighbors.

I hand-colored a proof with calligraphy inks this evening to see how I feel about going that for an edition.

Yeah, I was genuinely surprised how badly that first ink bled. The paper has to be soaked for it to soften, and get into the groves holding the ink. And that ink is literally made for this process. 😓

Yeah, forget about the Cranfield safe wash. That sucked. I guess I’m only gonna love Charbonnel inks. The washable, and regular oil based inks perform great.
The second state looks good (Charbonnel oil based ink), but I added a wee bit more background texture after this.

Y’all, idk about this Cranfield safe wash ink. It bled like curazy in a bad way. I do like it a little. 👀 But this is too wildly unpredictable. The edges look like ass. And some of the ink bled through the newsprint that was on top of the print paper onto my catcher blanket. Wtfff

I did a couple of test prints, and while I like how the image looks thus far, I do want to add a little more engraving.

Update on the Seiya copperplate.
I feel all right with how it looks right now, and just want to add a little more texture to the background before doing a test print.

I got more engraving done today, then cleaned, and polished it to easier see how far I am, and what I need to do next.

Scraper for beveling the edges, dry point stylus with burnishing end, stylus with cork handle, burnisher, and stylus.

This is worked with dry point stylus, and burins to scratch, and cut into the metal.

I don’t have the capability of doing acid etching at home right now.

I got a copper plate prepped, and drawn up for engraving … another day.

Setting up a couple of online shops with “easy” websites is still difficult for me while so much is going on around me. I’ve been working on them for several days while my brain is frying at home. Hopefully, I can open the shops soon.
