A poster advertising antler craft open days.
A selection of pre-cut antler for you to choose one to craft.

Spent the afternoon learning #antler craft. I highly recommend it - itβs so satisfying. #uist

The antler after filing, sanding and polishing.
The finished piece of antler with the natural mottling. The wooden beads have been stained using beeswax and ochre.
So I chose a piece of #antler and spent the afternoon filing, sanding and polishing. I decided to leave the natural patterning rather than engrave decoration. Iβve made it into a #bracelet with 2 wooden beads stained with ochre.

Whitehaven is so underrated - anyone interested in Georgian architecture, maritime, social and industrial history (and lots of other things) would have field day here!
I grew up around there and am sure it shaped my love of, and fascination with, the past π
