Working on the second panel for my #rainbow #hexagoncardigan... I'm on the green round, and close to moving onto blue.

I will be extending the sleeves a bit and I think I want to go down the forearm in reverse order, so the cuff of the sleeve is red. I'm also reconsidering the kimono sleeve. Gah!

For the past six months I’ve had a tambourine in the boot of my car that jingles every time I go over a speed bump, and I think this is the kind of everyday whimsy we all need more of in 2025.

It's been 33 days since Adelita Grijalva was elected by the people of Arizona's seventh congressional district to represent them in Congress.

Mike Johnson still refuses to swear her in.

He orders extrajudicial killings. He sent troops into our cities. He terrorizes citizens with ICE raids. He raised taxes without congressional approval. He has ruined American farmers and ranchers. He plans to starve the vulnerable. He demolished our house.

Remove him from office.

This morning, I was hit in the face by a baton.

I’m going to have a pretty gnarly bruise but we need to remember why this is happening: Trump and ICE are rounding up our neighbors, treating them as subhuman, and shipping them off to labor camps in foreign countries. It has to end.

For the last 3 years, a PNW tree frog has taken over the bottom the geraniums pot. A great example of how, when you offer Nature something, you never know how she will bless you in return. I love trying to imagine how the frog accesses the pot because it’s hanging from the eaves!
