I also hid away from the sounds in gym and school in general. Plus, I couldn't figure out how to play like a normal kid, so I would stand in the sidelines watching other kids play. I thought that was having fun and being social. My husband was the only kid who didn't think I was creepy.

That's a really good point! Sometimes I get upset wondering if the doctors are right and I'm just a lazy, depressed person. Then my friend has to remind me that we have the same thoughts and struggles.
