the only thing I find interesting about vinext is the absolutely absurd lengths people will go to avoid building websites with web technology

Watching software development disintegrate in front of my eyes was never something I thought I'd see. No one will be spared as this blight spreads across everything.
It's here, like the Black Death entering Messina.
Do not watch tonight’s State of the Union. Low ratings wound him. Let’s make this the least-watched SotU address ever.

Which is why "this is shit and you're a fool for using it" is the optimistic take
The best case scenario for the rest of us is that we have to clean up after a bunch of fools in the tech industry
And we know that tech is full of very greedy and foolish people.
“Speed has trained us to confuse movement with progress. To mistake activity for clarity. To believe that changing something is always better than the discipline of standing still. 1/2

A few people might do it well, e.g. Airbnb on a date picker, but I sure as hell don’t want my insurance company, or cable company, or utility company making a go at it. Just use the native ones.
Photo shows both Yamaha G-55-A guitars side by side I’ve reconditioned this past month. The first one I did, on the right, still looks beat up compared to one I did today.

Fretboard wood and tarnished frets in need of oil/conditioning, et al.
Guitar unstrung before cleaning and conditioning
Fretboard wood now uniformly darker after oil/conditioning
Cleaned my other Yamaha G 55-A from Nippon Gakki, the one I’ve had since 1987.
Fretboard wood still has noticeable depressions or channels in second fret position.
Cleaned the nut, did *not* adjust or replace the saddle.
New strings (D’Addario Pro Arte) alone make it easier to play.

If I were still in the game, I’d break out the TDD hat to answer:
Same browser on each?
Safari vs. Firefox vs. Chrome?
Mac vs. iPhone?
Not sure that helps - google and MDN and stackoverflow haven’t helped (yet)…
