Anime themed aircraft fuselage primed brown and taped securely together while the cement cures.

Science fiction nacelles modified with plastic card to facilitate closed gear bay doors. These parts have massive seams that required so much extra work to remove and re-scribe. "Caveat Emptor"

Forward landing gear doors, modified, reinforced, and cemented together with "high tech" clamps holding everything in place.

Front gear bay doors cemented in place.

Macross+ YF-19 (1/48, Hasegawa)

Finally committed to sealing up the fuselage halves. I spent a lot of time debating "wheels up vs. wheels down" and settled on an in-flight representation.

Minor modifications were required. 😅☕

That was, until they changed the guidelines, essentially eliminating scratch building and heavy customizations from competing.

I cleaned it up and assembled it last weekend.

The research led me to a kitbash of the 1/00 GM Ground Type and GM Quell.

Customized Gundam Mecha. I completely rebuilt the lower torso and hips using a donor kit to give articulation to this normally blocky and immobile model. Shown here without "chicken wings"
