Hey, goth/industrial folks; wanna hear something kinda funny/concerning? A few weeks ago, I read someone having the nerve to write down "i miss when music wasn't political. Like Laibach!!" Media literacy is deader than Bela Lugosi.

The Justice League International Omnibus. Holy crap is this sucker a beast of a book. The cover is another take on Maguire's "crowded elevator shot" with the principals of the JLI in the foreground, especially my boys Booster and Blue Beetle. Guy Gardner is right at the front though, and I mean, y'know, he's your grounding element in all of those pictures and somehow he's even smugger than usual.

Yeah, I’ve gone mostly digital myself. I just don’t have the room for one and hulking even short boxes around is something I *know* has a definite end date.

I’ve been excavating some Christmas compilation CDs for the holiday season and they’re an interesting mix of tracks from the late 30’s through the late 50’s. The most interesting thing is how well Sinatra’s songs aged compared to his contemporaries.

A day and change, MASSIVE painkillers, and regular use of a heating pad later and I’m almost feeling normal. Middle age is bullshit.

Add to the list of things I shouldn’t do anymore, lift approximately twelve records and pivot.

I understand that there are multiple episodes of the G1 Transformers cartoon that are immensely “better”, but one of the best episodes to try to explain to someone who isn’t a fan is B.O.T.

Sisyphus Happy is M. Lockwood Porter leaning more county rock than 27’s indie/Americana. Written during lockdown there’s definitely more acoustic here than 27, but “Craigslist Song” proves the dude can still rock when the song calls for it. 4/5

I have Fark photoshops that have made the migration from one computer to the next for over a decade. I have never saved an AI image. Not once.

The problem with a hammer is that all your problems start to look like nails. The problem with a caulk gun? All the people running behind you saying "Caulk! Caulk! Caulk!"

It may have been a minute or two since Live Aid, so I'd forgotten how much fun this live take was. If you haven't watched it before, definitely stick around until about the 1:10 minute count or so.

Tom Petty isn’t an artist you automatically think of as “power pop”. But he was absolutely inspired by the Beatles, the Byrds, and Parsons and if you listen to the Heartbreaker’s debut album he's wearing those influences with pride.
