i genuinely started listening to the fourth wing audiobook as soon as i was about halfway through iron flame! 10/10 experience doubling it up. it’s also helped me slow down and stop binge reading so violently so i can relax and sleep and get work done 😅

I recommend reading Firekeeper's Daughter by Angeline Bouley! It follows a young Ojibwe woman who goes undercover reluctantly for the FBI to investigate drugs being sold in her town. She grapples with the wrongdoings and harm of the FBI alongside her work to protect her culture & people

With so much of outdoor writing coming from a male/colonial perspective, Sabrina Imbler's poetic, scientific, and intimate writing is rich and cavernous in emotional landscape and a breath of fresh air in its genre

Sometimes you find a book, and sometimes a book finds you. I visited NYC earlier this month for a workshop of my gay rock climbing play, and on my last day I saw @sabs.bsky.social's book Dyke (geology) on the counter as I was checking out at Books are Magic in Brooklyn.

I am currently rereading the Poppy Wars Trilogy by @rfkuang.bsky.social and I have to say that no other series (fantasy or other) has so wholly impacted and reframed my perception of western imperialism and resistance
