That’s truly bizarre. No book club is going to *charge* you to join them over Zoom. They’re potentially hoping you can visit them for free, or if they have money, they might pay you a speaker fee. Even if it was for someone’s first book, the book club shouldn’t be charging the author.

Trump leaked this story because he wants to you hear it. Let’s be clear :: Trump wants you to blame a shutdown for shit he is planning to do anyhow. If dems cave and fund him, he will STILL wield executive power and slash government programs. He HAS BEEN doing that with the government open.

Definitely also need a new House speaker too. I don’t know if it has to be republicans calling for Johnson to not be speaker anymore, but he needs to go. There has to be a less terrible choice.
