Sorry for crashing out a lil. I can crash out a tiny bit as a treat, right? I'll be ok, reality just hit me a lil hard. Im cold and tired and a bit lonely and the pills aren't doing their job and my material circumstances are unlikely to change and i'm not allowed to be the person I want to be, etc.

tbh I think when my doctor responded to "I'm really really struggling" with "maybe you should just accept you're A Struggler", that should've been my sign to just turn to stone and live an empty life free of earthly desire. I don't need to Create, I just need to work and sleep and work again 👍

I think it's especially bad this year bc of how bad the whole Year of Jerry shit fell through. I started so hopeful, had a crisis in March that hampered things, but even without it i honestly don't know how possible making Consistent Content is while working this job. But I have a mortgage to pay.

in all honesty, i get sad and frustrated around halloween bc I know what I want to make but may never get time/energy/budget. So much I wanna build on yet rn it's just some fuckass old song parodies. They NEED to invent a job that doesnt take up all your time and energy and spirit but still pays you

"You dropped your gay card" is still unsurpassed, imo. YES the idea of a "Gay Card" is bizarre and unbelievable. But, in looking, the target has legitimized the notion. He has, in one swift gesture, both confirmed the existence of this ridiculous card AND admitted to being the owner of one. Sublime!

The reason I still find myself thinking about Interpretation so much is because there is ALWAYS a 5th Jerry who is SO SURE he could go back and fix it for real. My burden to bear. Constantly have to yank his leash and stop him from writing a 'Spiritual Successor'. It's not happening, man. Let it go!

I mean, aside from the gripe that it made me look like a media-illiterate fool (which unfortunately IS the point). Even the "hair gets dirtier until it's clean at the end" had symbolism, but there was NO thematic payoff to making my teeth look like I'm a heavy smoker, I'm just an amateur at filming!

As flawed as Interpretation was, my biggest lingering gripe is how yellow my teeth looked. Every shot had a big too-cold light + a warm side light that seemed to ONLY bounce off my teeth, making them look super yellow in post. Desperate to record a new vid just to subtly show my NOT YELLOW teeth LOL

As one of the most disorganized people in existence, being put on medication this year has been a true hurdle. I go off-meds constantly just because I forget, even if they're right in front of me. And if I set an alarm, I think "oh, my alarm, okay I'll take my meds in a sec!" and then forget 😩

Picturing you spending a chunk of your life listlessly writing articles and thinking "this is alright, but my bottle-size expertise feels vastly underutilised". Thankfully you now presumably hear things like "I have a mighty thirst that an ordinary bottle of wine simply won't quench!" on the regular

Oh yeah, fake/alien languages are always fun! Tbh, even just other non-japanese languages are fine. I think just the use of japanese specifically dredges up an overdone, tired aesthetic, as well as a certain corny vibe/context (when not ACTUALLY a japanese product, obvs).

(this isn't about anything/anyone in particular because I see it SO often. To be fair it helps curb my rampant impulse purchases LOL, nothing turns me off from buying a cool-ass thing more than inexplicable japanese text on it. I know it's a Me Issue, but it just hemmorhages style points for me 😩)

Cursed with contradictory taste where I love certain styles but find "non-japanese thing using japanese text as aesthetic" super corny. Orientalism/fetishization, whatever, MY concern is I find it hacky & swagless. pls stop making COOL stylish apparel and plastering it with japanese text. for me?? 🥺

I hit an otherworldly burst on a video project that'd been stalled for a while. Sometimes it feels like some other, smarter person takes the reigns, fixes my problems, then leaves without imparting any long-term skills 😩 can make my best works feel like luck, but I'm happy that I can do it at all!

Unfortunately it's a total gray-zone, def won't find a solid answer. Depends on the notability of the source, the litigiousness of rightsholders, what you're using it in, + random chance. But in general you're more likely to be fine than not, especially if it's for media and not just a song release.

I realized it's thanks to the Patreon I've been able to hire artists I like to make certain assets (some you'll see soon + maybe others). Long-term goal was to hopefully be making enough budget for Very Ambitious vids, but even on a smaller scale it's paying off. Makes me feel a lot more optimistic.

Thinking about it, a mug is the WORST place to put "Dont talk to me til I've had my coffee" in terms of efficacy. The MAJORITY of time pre-coffee is presumably spent NOT holding a mug. Only works while you're actively DRINKING, 5 mins of peace. Instead, try wearing a sign around your neck, perhaps 👍

Ohh that's absolutely something! Can have good synergy with the Pingas mug (use pingas in the morning, use stew mug in the afternoon). OR you can use it in the morning to make sure nobody talks to you for the first half of the day. An essential mug to own I think!!

This past year I've somehow become obsessed with "pingas" again. Cant stop saying it, cant stop thinking it. I DONT KNOW WHY. This morning i thought "I need a mug that says 'DONT TALK TO ME UNTIL I'VE SNOOPED AS USUAL' on it". Thats nothing! That's literally nothing!! put me down like a sick animal.
