Glad I am not the only one annoyed by the Wintrust AI murals. Far cry from the 1996 Dennis Rodman mural on that building that stopped traffic. Hand painted from a photo taken by Marc Hauser.

I have had cracked teeth both crowned and pulled/replaced with implants. Good success with both. Not cheap. Thankfully I have good dental coverage. Not a jolly time, but you can handle it. Hang in there!

You’ll have to forgive me if I don’t shed a tear over the fatal shooting of the guy who said that some deaths will unfortunately be worth it to keep the 2nd Amendment.

Making its debut at our block party this year, I have been itching to fabricate a version of a hook and ring game for years. I didn’t want to build a massive frame for it, but then I realized that the city thoughtfully provided a nice solid pole in the median. #chicago

With the heavy traffic on our block the parts that tires go over can start to wear away within a few days. The less trafficked parts can last months. We tried an experiment with the owl mural this year, putting a cost of garage floor sealer over it. We’ll see if it helps.

We start by sweeping them clean, then rolling on a layer of killz primer.
