I had to pause playing with Pearl for just a few minutes and got this look. Pretty sure it’s going to take a few extra beach trips and treats to make it up to her.

Might even have to sneak in an extra Run scene or two in the next Austin book, per her contract. 😂

My assistant, Kianne, dropped off a restock at Hansville Grocery/Hansgrill yesterday! If you're local to the area, it's a great place to pick up a book and grab breakfast or lunch. 🙂

We had a quick trip to Portland to spend time with family over the weekend and Pearl got to experience a classy hotel. I thought you all might enjoy this one. 🤣

I came across a few photos of Port Gamble on my phone, taken, I think, late last summer.

It’s a small town just a short drive from Austin’s fictional home in Hansville, and it makes a brief appearance in Thomas Austin's book 6: The Drowning at Dyes Inlet.

This beach in Hansville, WA, is not only the setting for several scenes in the Thomas Austin Crime Thriller series, but also where my wife and I have brainstormed a lot of plot points while walking and playing fetch with Pearl. 🙂

Pearl, also known as the real star of the Thomas Austin Crime Thriller series (called Run in the books), does not appreciate it when I mention the cat I wrote into the Silas West Psychological Mysteries.

This popped up as a reminder on my phone from about three years ago.

We had just come home and caught Pearl looking very guilty after she climbed up a chair and leapt onto the counter. She was about eight months old in this. 🤣

I’m convinced summers here are some of the best anywhere, but I’ll admit I get a little less enthusiastic if it hits the 90s. 😂

I glanced over and saw Pearl looking like she had just realized she forgot something very important. Any guesses on what could cause this level of corgi panic?
