This should go without saying but PLEASE SUPPORT INDIE ARTIST, DEVELOPERS, AND CREATORS while you're at it. Well-founded corpos can take the hit and studio crews have already been paid for their work, but authors and indie studios need every sale they can get. Don't deprive them of their next meal!

Please learn to pirate, even if it's a skill you don't personally use in most circumstances—learning where to find things you can't buy legitimately is still invaluable when so much is being lost purely due to the whims of corporate greed. Keep it in your toolbox and learn how to do it safely!

or expecting an author and narrative to reflect your own individual traits is missing the aim. It's about inhabiting the mind and body of someone who is Not you but Could be in different circumstances, encouraging empathy and identifying ways you not only contrast with the POV but ways you're alike.

I think second person dislike is more a matter of mismatched expectations; it's only "immersion breaking" when the reader is literally subbing themselves in for the POV when that's not the point. Like with all fiction, you're being asked to submit to a perspective that is not your own, and wanting
