Ah good to see it finally out in the wild (ha). A true honour to take on the sons of the Rout. Ivar is always a fun to write and I like to think that this tome carries forwards the saga-feel of Price of Morkai into something even stronger and stranger.

Hahaha I can relate to that 🖤 Well if you can get someone to assess that *and* give you a bit of structural input too that would probably be most helpful. Because someone used to looking at story shapes can tell you if it's working, even if it's not their preferred genre/read.

I suspect it can vary a lot! But - for myself, I'd probably be handing over to beta readers when I thought stuff was right, so they're snagging, rather than providing input on things that I know need changing. They're to spot the things I don't know about yet.

Again, that's just how I do it!

Yes I'd definitely get structural/developmental edits now - ideally from someone who is used to giving that kind of feedback. If you know you need big cuts I wouldn't be giving to beta readers yet.
