The Moon is visible looking out over the patio from the main floor of the library, between two flagpoles. More details of the Moon are discernible in the reflection of the Moon on the pane of glass, which appears above and to the left of the actual Moon in the image.
Clouds appear dark purple, fiery red, and golden yellow above Buildings 1 and 7, looking west out a window on the 3rd floor of the library and over the courtyard.
Tonight, we were treated to the rising "Full Harvest Moon" and a colorful sunset. These images were taken indoors and do not do justice to the astronomical and atmospheric spectacles! #MCCLibraries

A photo of the outside of the LeRoy V. Good Library taken on August 18 is slightly transparent, over which a graphic of a yellow construction crane lifting an orange cone with its claws is superimposed, and the text "Library Roof Project" is typed over the blue sky. Some construction noise is expected, but facilities does not anticipate significant disruption. Most work will occur early in the morning through early afternoon. For the few days that the crane is in use, the emergency exits out to the back patio may be unavailable. Facilities and Public Safety will identify alternate routes and update signage as needed.
Roof construction work will affect the LVG library over the next several weeks. The project will begin today & continue through mid-November. The library will remain open throughout the entire project. Thank you for your flexibility & patience as this essential work is completed! #MCCLibraries

Established in 1990, the Holocaust, Genocide, and Human Rights Project is Monroe Community College's unique organization for telling the stories of the Holocaust and other genocides while transforming individuals to become advocates for human rights. This timeline highlights the undeniable relevancy of the Project's mission during the past 35 years to the greater Rochester community and the world. It shows how Survivors, Heroes and Scholars of the Holocaust and other genocides shared their stories and created opportunities for community members, especially MCC students, to find their voice and take action against antisemitism, hate and discrimination.
The timeline begins in 1930 and progresses by decade through the year 1980 in the first panel, with black & white photos of Holocaust Survivors William Konar and Bernard Schuster. A quote from MCC alumna Mary June Dowd says, "Studying the Holocaust has caused a totally new awareness in me. I look at indifference with alarm and I find myself searching for ways to get involved that I never would have considered in the past."
The timeline concludes with the years 2017 to the present and features a photo of Holocaust Survivor Simon Braitman. Project alumni work in career fields that directly impact their communities, including education, higher education, refugee resettlement, human rights law, and gun violence prevention. A quote from Amanda Gorman says, "For there is always light, if only we're brave enough to see it. If only we're brave enough to be it."
This timeline was created for the 35th Yom HaShoah Commemoration on 4-24-25. It is now displayed in the hallway outside of the Holocaust, Genocide, & Human Rights Center in the LeRoy V. Good Library on the Brighton Campus.
