I feel that people have been asking this question my whole life. The criticism deserves rigorous debate, but I’m unconvinced it’s particularly worse now than 20 or 40 years ago. Some of the issues maybe changed but it’s still a story of the privileged vs the majority with incremental improvement

For me, when dealing with an artist I’d be far more interested in the actual design and quality thereof. YMMV
