That make sense honestly. I would just recommend getting a tripod or an over head arm and record with your phone. Use free editing software (CapCut or Edits…I use edits but before used the built in IG/TT tools) I reckoned a lot and then just trim down to the most important things. Voiceovers help

I feel good editing skills are nice to have but the content is mainly what compels me to actually engage. Some of the artist I most admire don’t do reels and rely on only still posts but I go out of my way to see their work because it’s so good.

Still chipping away at this block and added some quick wood filler to the areas I messed up. Still not sure if that will actually work when printing, but worst case scenario I can remove the putty.

Knife carving = more control. I usually carve linocuts with a maverick flow, but this block demands strategy, grudgingly, I’m accepting that challenge.

've had some mishaps with this cherry block already, my knife has slipped and I've cut places I didn't intend to. I want to finish carving the block and see the end result before deciding whether I need to start over.

I do feel that I got my gouges sharpened way quicker on the natural stones, than they do on the diamond stone. Yet again that could have been beginner placebo real test will be sharpening the u and v gouges!

With base drawing is complete it’s time to jump to the fun, and scary part!

Although #Mokuhanga is a more labor intensive technique than regular linocut, I love the chance to be intentional and slow down.
