If we elected Tony Soprano president I’m pretty sure it wouldn’t go any differently from what’s actually happening.

I have long argued that people hired to write about/do polling should be trained pollsters. In this case, the person in charge of Arg polls is an AI software dev who got famous in Dem circles for regressions on vote share data. He is not trained in writing surveys or seeing all sides of the results

Biden would’ve been instantly impeached in a bipartisan vote if he put his face on the freakin’ Department of Justice building

Donald Trump is easily the worst person to ever be president* and has easily caused the most damage as president to both the United States** and the world at large***, across multiple dimensions in each category, and he gets a pass for all of it.

I will never, for one minute, not be mad about it.

Also if you're in DC call your House member and ask if it's possible to schedule a constituent tour. The public tours are crap.

*PFFFFFT who are we kidding of course I took the tip, but the rules were very clear that I wasn't allowed to and I walked around the rest of the day wondering if I was going to get fired.

When I was a 19 year old unpaid Congressional intern I used to give constituents tours of the Capitol building. On one tour a couple wanted to give me a $10 tip and I had to turn it down* because of congressional ethics rules.

Back to back posts about Trump falling asleep at the BS organization he himself created & named the Board of Peace while simultaneously amassing military resources for an unprovoked attack that he hasn't thought of a reason for yet is unlocking new levels of irony not yet seen on planet earth.

It’s because even though slim majorities can’t easily get things through Congress, a leader with a slim majority can easily prevent Congress from taking any action he doesn’t like. Such as, for example, any semblance of executive oversight.

“This revelation adds to the mounting pile of evidence undermining statements from Attorney General Pam Bondi and other senior administration officials assuring the public that the Epstein file release has been transparent, complete, and bereft of any evidence implicating Trump in wrongdoing.”

It needs to be said clearly that it would be absolutely insane for the United States to start a war of aggression against Iran. If anyone thinks that Trump gives a rip about democracy or human rights you are kidding yourself. It’ll be another campaign of domination and plunder.
