Commissioners will consider repealing the voter-approved Rural Boundary, rescinding Vision 2050 and the Orange Code, and abandoning updates to the Lake Pickett North planning study. These decisions are being driven by a legal challenge from a single developer invoking a vague line in SB 180

A line in SB 180 is being used by developers to try to bully county commissions in Florida to attempt to weaken environmental protections, rural boundaries, and the right to home rule. Orange County could set a precedent with their vote:
