It's like they're trying to make the current domain for that site a part of forced arbitration.

However, in Dimden's case, that's the complete opposite. It is Twitter that doesn't like it when you use OldTwitter regardless of version number. Even with the recent update that fixed the cause of the ban, there's still concern that the site will cause trouble for the community again.

If the browser extension developer intentionally inserts some malicious pieces of code that cause people using it to get banned from certain service, that developer is on an one-way trip to the hot water. Anyone can report such an extension to the point that it gets removed.

The cause of the banwave was the retweet feature in OldTwitter that used the Twitter Pro key according to its developer but still, the damage was already done and I don't know if it's 100% reversed or not.

Users of NeoFreeBird weren't affected by the banwave and the way it happened was due to the offending pieces of code in both OldTwitter and OldTweetDeck extensions.

The only problem with NeoFreeBird is that it's a modified Twitter app and I worry about the C&D approaching the developer.

If anyone is to tell you that you will:
1. Use and embrace the chaotic current layout/era of Twitter
2. Not use the old name of that site
3. Not use the extension that brings you back to the pre-Musk era

That is intimidation/blackmailing and you should not tolerate that behavior.

Where's an insult script writing contest where you can come up with a scenario about a reputable social media user insulting a filthy, miserable freak who seeks attention professionally on Twitter when you need it?

The shills of Musk-era Twitter admire bad and chaotic changes and they won't like it when you call that site by the old name but that isn't the only part of the cult-ish behavior.

The on-going problems include:
* Spam and scam bots
* Attention seekers
* Cultists who shill current-era Twitter
* False reports on arts not done with AI tools
* Unacceptable brand name

The first four problems stink enough and the danger had come for artists.

How low is Twitter's reputation to this day? A new low to the point that you're better off in a social media that has a breath of fresh air like Bluesky/Mastodon. I know well that they have no intention to undo the damage done to Twitter and the amount of filthy features continue to disgust me.

There's bad news of people getting banned for using OldTwitter extension and we're disgruntled upon knowing it. As if Twitter's reputation isn't already on new low enough, they didn't admire users' usage of such extension including OldTweetDeck.

Just for added fun: If these companies win and OpenAI has indeed committed widespread copyright theft? I can only imagine the legal fallout that will happen to YouTubers profiting from generating AI garbage from copywritten works. 😘

Physical PC games were still a norm back then when Steam was quite new in the 2000s and the Phantom game console was aiming to change the norm. Frankly, it's the other platform like Steam that changed the norm at a later time.
