Daniele Semola wins 2025 Frontiers of Science Award Our colleague is recognised for his breakthrough work with Elia Bruè and Aaron Naber refuting the Milnor conjecture, which had stood since 1968.

After the ASTRA, Daniele Semola already won his next price:

For refuting the Milnor conjecture, he, Elia Bruè, and Aaron Naber were awarded a Frontiers of Science Award of the International Congress of Basic Science. Congratulations!

One thing got mixed up, however: Martin teaches at our Faculty, but is no professor - neither for Maths, nor Computer Science. 😉

Bei den Recherchen ist aber leider ein bisserl was schief gegangen: Martin ist Lehrender an unserer Fakultät, kein Professor - weder für Mathematik, noch Informatik. 😉
