Damn. This is amazing. £325 per week, paid monthly, for 3 years - and the result was a profit for the Irish economy:

I imagine youd need a bit more a month if you had a large rent or kids though

For me personally it was enough to pay for rent/car/medical bills and food. I wouldnt be able to save with it, but with actually working on commissioned work I could put some away for future! Not much, but it meant I could take care of myself:)

It’s amazing how if you actually give people room to be creative, everyone benefits! I wish more countries would do this! You can’t even say to the hardest business man that this isn’t worth it in every way.

This scheme has earned money for the economy, gotten people off welfare and improved the life quality of everyone on it for the last few years. Artists could start families, pay bills and concentrate on their creative endeavours. It’s only been a net positive for everyone involved!

I’ve been on the pilot scheme for almost three years now and it’s made my life so much better being able to afford medical procedures/rent/car etc while concentrating on art. I hope many many more can get on it in September!

That sounds horrific oof:( I really hope you can get it removed and you don’t have to fight much longer for that. It’s so bad you have to jump through so many hoops just to get it yeeted 😩

I have such a fear of IUDs I don’t think I ever would so thank you for confirming that too! I’ve been put on a progesterone only pill for now so we’ll see but yeah Ive had bad times before when younger on them:/ I think after some blood tests they might be considering excision! Did it help u?

Oh I was wondering if diet had anything to do with maybe helping? I think they want to put me on dienogest aswell and also see about getting excised. I’m glad you are doing better on it!

Can I ask how others have dealt with endometriosis? Just found out I have it on my ovaries and scarring around my womb along with a lot of other issues. Did people go the surgical or medication route? Any relatable stories would help thanks I’m a bit bummed but atleast I know my pain is very real
