Ridiculous. The time Google is spending just on comms to deprecate this is likely an order of magnitude more than it would have cost to just keep these links working forever. One could implement this on Workers in 5 lines of code and never touch it again...

Custom. The cabinet maker who did our kitchen cabinets also did the desks. I used SketchUp to roughly illustrate what I wanted and we went through a prototype or two with particle board to settle on the final design. Unfortunately that means I don't have a formal spec I can share.

Without that, Go apps just can't achieve anywhere near the efficiency of JavaScript in the Workers runtime model.

Alternatively, you can run Go in containers (released yesterday) but they will be less distributed and more expensive than Workers.

Go needs a Wasm implementation that supports having the language runtime in a separate module from the app -- essentially dynamic linking. Needed so apps can share the same runtime rather than every app bundling its own copy. But Go haaaaaaaates dynamic linking.

Midnight power outages in 2025 are like being haunted:
- HVAC fans suddenly go silent
- Weird beeps and boops from around the house as charging devices complain they stopped charging
- Phone notifications blowing up

But I mean I want to see an editor UI that actually presents itself as editing the AST... I think it would be tricky to do right and probably really annoying when you first try it after being used to a text editor, but I bet it'd be better when you get used to it...

I've always wanted to see an editor that edits ASTs instead of text.

Yes! The writers clearly didn't have enough good ideas to fill 20 episodes and so had to use so many long "dramatic" pauses and weird nonsense scenes. Or even nonsense episodes.

I saw the Goodyear blimp outside the window and I took a picture and sent it to @jadewang.me and typed "blomp", which was a typo, except now I've decided that's really a much better word anyway. It's a blomp now. Goodyear blomp in Austin, presumably for SXSW.
