Just said hello to the boy’s grandmother. Didn’t notice the weeds were cut before I saw her or I would’ve thanked her. Her grandson is playing happily with his soccer ball as I write this. Everyone’s needs are met, everyone is happy. The little things remind me how much we need each other’s kindness

Today I went outside to find that the boy’s grandfather cut the weeds in my yard (which we’re getting tall ngl) when he cut theirs. Kindness both ways.

They could’ve left my little ugly yard ass is, or reported me. I couldn’t thrown the ball out or over the fence, risking breaking their furniture.

Little boy next door lost his soccer ball in my yard. I haven’t “opened” the yard for the season yet, so not sure how long it was there. Yesterday I went back there to asses what all needs to be done to make the yard usable, found the ball, and knocked on their door to return it.
