I’m with her.

It’s not fire season here yet, but let me tell you how I will be trotting out this gem this summer.

Might be an understatement.

Letters went out to federal workers this morning stating they were fired due to poor performance. However, all employees had been rated as “exceptional” performers by their supervisors. Please keep these records and pursue wrongful termination claims. Let the lawsuits begin.

And for all the peace in the Desiderata, my heart hurts. I’m exhausted and emotionally raw in ways I’ve not felt in a long time.

Fellow feds, this is tough and I cannot believe this is the country and public we agreed to serve.

And whatever your labors and aspirations, in the noisy confusion of life, keep peace in your soul. With all its sham, drudgery and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world. Be cheerful. Strive to be happy.

Avoid loud and aggressive persons; they are vexatious to the spirit. If you compare yourself with others, you may become vain or bitter, for always there will be greater and lesser persons than you.

Desiderata

Go placidly amid the noise and the haste, and remember what peace there may be in silence. As far as possible, without surrender, be on good terms with all persons.

Speak your truth quietly and clearly; and listen to others, even to the dull and the ignorant; they too have their story.

After today’s action discharging 3,400 recent hires, just 30,715 employees remain to manage 193 million acres of public land, partner in state and private forest management, and lead in forestry and forest products R&D.

The Forest Service lost nearly ten percent of its workforce in one day.

We are calling for a nationwide and international boycott of all Elon Musk-related products and services. Sell your Tesla shares, avoid buying Tesla vehicles, cancel Starlink, and delete your X accounts.

3400 Forest Service people were fired today. People new to the government who believed in the mission of caring for the land and serving people.

While Trump has been distracting America with everything else, Elon Musk’s staffers are quietly taking over NOAA and the Department of Labor. They are also using AI to help rewrite a significant portion of the federal government’s computer systems.

Musk’s staffers fanned out across several agencies today, sending representatives to the Atlanta headquarters of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and meeting with the Labor Department to seek access to sensitive data.

Donold’s supporters don’t care if they lose their jobs or their freedom as long as he is performatively ‘owning the libs.’ That’s how much they have been taught to hate you.

Effing pissed, God, tbh. Rageful, really.
