K-87 is undoubtedly a K unit at his core, but what he once watched over is a total mystery he's not willing to provide the solution to. 2.02: Growing frustration: While K-87's original mind is intact, his body is not. He has poorly done all of his own "repairs", but he will never accept fault for them, often blaming the parts, calling them faulty regardless of their actual condition. He longs to feel as functional as he once did, and will continue to repair himself poorly until he is incapable of moving. 2.03: Sleazy bastard K-87 will often lie about affiliation with groups and involvement in events to gain access to technology he has no business being anywhere near. This has led to him being exiled from many settlements as he inevitably gets his cover blown. 2.04: Improved awareness Due to his declining physical condition, K-87 prefers to avoid combat as often as possible. However, he has ended up in a few unavoidable fights and out of necessity has gradually become more adept as using his environment to win fights in the absence of pure strength. 2.05: Mild-mannered machine When not driven by the motivation to obtain ultimately useless upgrades, K-87 is rarely social. He will not be outright aggressive or rude to most other machines, but also not actively seek out allies, as most other machines are not typically willing to travel long distances with him, making companionship last a few days at most. The only time he will act socially is when given the opportunity to tell stories about his strange exploits and adventures.

This is incredibly basic information such as materials, general purpose and date of creation, as well as more specific information such as group affiliations and recent major events in a machine's time active. 3.05: Improved speech synthesis A rather common K Unit component that wore out due to time and needed to be replaced, this allows for near-perfect communication with any other units that use spoken language to communicate. 3.06: Gravity claw internals Taken from a mostly decomposed wooden machine, this device is inserted in his left hand, allowing him to grab onto any object lighter than him and move it with relative ease at a distance of up to 15m. He often uses this in combat by grabbing his nearly-severed arm and using it like a bladed whip. This system will occasionally fail at random, causing him to drop whatever object is being held. There is no surviving knowledge about the machine it was taken from, so this cannot be fixed.
