Landed in Seattle one time and drove out to the Olympic Peninsula in a snow storm that EVERYONE there assured me "never happens."

I went to Rochester, NY in late December because my husband wanted me to see "what real snow is like" and all the snow melted as we drove in. The entire week was temperate. His aunt, hosting us, said I could visit anytime in the winter I liked. As we drove away in early January the snow started.
