There is no such thing as “partial human rights”. Either we are all equal under the law or we aren’t. As OP @erinbiba.bsky.social said, it’s not complicated! If we’re going to fight back fascism we have to deny its most basic premise, that some are worthy of protection and others aren’t.

My point is that protecting the civil rights and dignity of trans people is not a fringe left thing. It’s the whole ballgame.

It is important to put it in context in terms of the atrocities he’s causing, and not overplay this, but his sheer, oblivious vulgarity is just astonishing.

The issue here is that denying basic human rights to one set of people… is kind of the whole thing with Nazis.
