Join Mary Lou Lager, author of Naturally, A Love Story, as she discusses her motivations for writing the heartfelt book about family, love, and resilience in 1960s Chicagoland. Patrons will enjoy a short read aloud of a segment of the book and an interactive Q&A.

To commemorate Indigenous People’s month, OPPL and the Tuesday Night Book Club are proud to present an author talk with special guest, Nick Medina.

Today at our Memory Café, attendees came together to create cheerful end-of-summer collages! This month’s projects featured collage art and fun Polaroid photos, and the results were full of color and joy. Thank you to our partners at Pathlights.

On Saturday, young dancers joined us for a special storytime and performance at Books & Ballerinas! 🩰 Children in preschool through Grade 2 enjoyed a short ballet performance and then had the chance to learn a few ballet moves of their own from the talented dancers of Ballet 5:8.

Bubble Play at the library!
On Friday, our backyard was filled with giggles, sunshine, and LOTS of bubbles as children ages 3–6 enjoyed bubble play and bubble art. Thank you to all the little ones (and their grown-ups!) who joined us for this magical day!
