He had a little scar on his wrist that I'd feel with my thumb and he said it was from when a fish bit him when he was younger. Whenever he held my hand I'd say "fish bite, Dad!" and he'd laugh.

Missing my dad tonight so I'm gonna share one of my core memories. I was maybe 6 or 7 and our mailbox was on the opposite side of the street. My dad would hold my hand tightly while we crossed the street to check the mail and I remember thinking how strong he was.

This is gonna sound dumb, but when Josh came onstage I couldn't help but tear up. It was unreal but also completely unexpected. I wouldn't even call myself a superfan but he and his crew are just so damn talented.

It's also a large older house (> 5K sq ft, built in the 1990s) and a large property (ex llama farm with pastures) which needs constant maintenance that my mom can't afford.

I've told her a million times she should just sell the house but it's almost hoarder-level full of stuff and very messy because my sister's family also has tons of stuff and cleaning/organizing has never been her strong suit. It would take years to prep this house for sale.

Where it gets complicated is that my sister, BIL (who makes good $), and my nieces live with her, but only contribute to utilities and a 2nd mortgage on a small shop they added a few years ago. I'd assume they'd just pitch in but it seems they can't or won't.

I'm in this weird predicament. My dad passed away a few years ago and didn't leave my mom with much retirement and her fixed income is just barely enough to cover her mortgage. However, her insurance just went way up and now she's draining her small savings just to keep up.

The Tea app data leak is bad. The vibe-coding fallout is just beginning too.
