I miss my history/historian community. I hopefully have some really exciting news to share tomorrow!!

I picked up the retainers today and asked to see the note left with them- with her dad’s number. I said this is why moms are exhausted. Even with explicit instruction to call dad, they didn’t.

Teen needed new retainers so I dropped off the mold. She and I were headed out of the country, so I left her dad’s number for them to call to pick up the retainers.

They texted me while I was gone and then again as I walked off the plane coming home.

Thankfully I had a pre booked trip to Europe to help me grieve the loss of my job. We’re headed home today and then I have to start really applying and working on my materials so I can find a job to fund my next trip lol

A decent sense of humor goes a long way these days haha

I’m 3 weeks post lay off and about to settle into hardcore applications. It’s not fun.

All while experiencing a miserable and overly competitive job market.
