Just watched this 1960s epic, The Fall of the Roman Empire. Hadn't seen this since I was a child. I didn't release just how much Ridley Scott's Gladiator borrowed from this.

Two of favourite authors have a habit of releasing their new books within a week of each other in September. Have now read both, and this year, I'm giving my best book to @richardosman1.bsky.social.
