Proud to announce that my newest feature screenplay AFFORDABLE CARE is a Finalist in the Omaha Film Festival’s script competition! I put in my time off request at work and hopefully will be able to go see if this script is a winner :)
AND I’ll get to see @leahfromsd.bsky.social!!!
I was like “it’s south of new jersey. North of Maryland. East of Pennsylvania?”
And he was like
“I’VE HEARD OF ALL OF THOSE STATES 😡”
I think one of the funniest things that’s ever happened to me is when I had just moved to Chicago and hadn’t changed my license yet, and the guy at the liquor store accused me of having a fake ID because he had “never heard of Delaware” 🙃🫠

08.02.2026 05:56 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0There’s a construction company near my house that always puts up huge light decorations for major holidays - right now it’s all hearts and cupids - and honestly I find it endlessly charming.
I see it out of the train window on my commute and it’s a cute way to know I’m almost home.
Are my latest symptoms because of ✨hypothyroidism✨ or 💫breast cancer survivorship💫 or 🔮mental illness🔮 or 💖celiac disease💖 or 🦄medical menopause🦄
Like who can fucking say at this point
Woohoo!
05.02.2026 00:20 — 👍 13 🔁 0 💬 2 📌 0Unfortunately “the other room” would probably have to be my office at the theater which gets horrendous internet service
But like truly just hitting “play” and leaving while I’m in rehearsal may be the solution!
Genuine question: how can I best support The Muppets when I’m currently in a ~70 hour work week and probably won’t be able to watch/stream The Muppet Show until Sunday night??

Realizing that you don’t need to pay a company $35 to have an executive read the first 15 pages of your script and give feedback. You can simply email the executives for free and sometimes they’ll ask to read it for free.
Just got a pretty pretty pretty cool script request, please clap

Heat wave!!
The fact that Sabrina Carpenter is on The Muppet Show has me that much more certain that she’s the right fit for my breast cancer dramedy BREAST IN SHOW; it may not be muppet-y on its surface but you have to have a certain je ne sais quoi to pull off a cancer joke and she has it

Tonight at work my two lesbian gen z crew members told me that I'm "not giving straight woman" which is the bisexual affirmation I didn't know I needed tbh
31.01.2026 07:02 — 👍 6 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0Sent an absolutely shoot-for-the-moon writing related email today and probably nothing will come of it, but god it just puts into perspective how you really do have to be a little bit delusional to pursue this.
31.01.2026 06:35 — 👍 14 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0I work nights and weekends, but try really hard to send writing-related emails during “normal” business hours whenever I can. Schedule send is a godsend!
That said, I do find it really funny when I get professional emails at 1am my time - maybe “business hours” are flexible?

Dear early-20s me: it gets better! You will marry a man who does not hesitate to tell you he loves you!! You deserve that!!!
My job is weird because I almost just thanked one of my coworkers out loud for taking her pants off lol
(They wrinkle really easily!)
This is the single best response to this post I could have dreamed of 🤣
27.01.2026 02:47 — 👍 4 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0I’m gonna be honest, the purely self-centered reason that I’m so anti-gun when it comes to my own household is my own history of mental illness and suicidal thoughts.
The current climate has me wondering if I should learn to handle a gun safely and keep one in my home regardless
The thing about being a part of my podcast "The Writer's Cut" is that I'm learning the difference between movies that aren't my taste vs movies that are Bad™️ and I think that's beautiful.
