I read somewhere that having imposter syndrome is proof you're not actually an impostor.

Well, it's the only work that actually feels like an accomplishment. It's also what makes the other stuff worth it.

Life goals!

Not a book, but Beat poetry, lit, art, music, etc . . . Whatever I could find or get my hands on.

I do both but I find my mind wanders more with audio books. I need to do something low level engaging while listening- puzzles, mending, plain knitting, etc- to help keep my brain on track.

Sharing this because we're in a terrible timeline. These resources are specifically for LGBTQ+ mortals but this is your reminder that every mortal needs a plan. Make one, make it legal, share it, and update it periodically.

Ah, yes, too often have I been there. Hopefully they find the thing soon and it's something relatively easy to manage or even fix.

This reminds me of when a student told me he copies off of other kids to get good grades and I warned him that he should make sure that the people he copies from are smarter than him or he's just going to more trouble to get a worse result.

I've been struggling with brain fog so I was cutting down on checkouts but I recently decided I might as well just pick up all the interesting options and if I don't get through them, I'll try again later.

I saw a black man on a bike yesterday and was deeply concerned - he was trying to balance a soda on his handlebars and nearly wiped out. Luckily, he didn't. Hopefully he made it to his destination okay, soda intact.

If the author chooses to show how sassy and not like other girls their lead is by having her not wear/hate on corsets - I'm out. I mean I hate low rise pants but I don't think it says anything important about my personality.

Usually either boring housekeeping stuff- check on old subs, taxes, record keeping, cleaning/organization, etc . . . Or nonverbal fun things like knitting, painting, dancing, etc . . .

"Required Reading" seems a bit like someone wants to keep certain folks out of their sandbox . . .

And, since adults don't always take the time to explain punishment and the behavior that lead to it in a way a child understands- it compounds the abuse. Not knowing why or connecting the punishment with an innocent behavior puts a child in a higher level of anxiety and fear.

And we do this because if we don't we get labeled "dramatic" or lectured on our "negativity". Sorry my reality is so depressing for you!

Coming off of two exhausting and stressful weeks to a day where I get to do something really cool I've been looking forward to for months and my back is currently in agony.

Worked in Sped - so many straight up ignore accommodations and then get mad at the student for "disobeying"

"It says 'one to two step directions' and you gave him six! Of course he's just screwing around, he doesn't know what you want him to do!"

And, yet, they insist, he does.

Brain foggy and the last two thus far but it's another triple digit day and I might just be foolish enough to step outside.
