New polling from Data for Progress and Fossil Free Media finds that voters believe that oil and gas companies misled the public about the climate damages their products would cause and should be on the hook for some of the costs. Moreover, voters oppose providing oil and gas companies legal immunity from lawsuits and legislation seeking to recover climate-related damages.

Trump is trying to ban states from holding oil and gas companies accountable for climate costs, and make working people clean up polluters' mess.

@makepolluterspay.bsky.social's new poll finds it's wildly unpopular. 71% of voters, including 55% of Republicans want polluters to pay their fair share.

Thames Water have been allowed to add another £3 billion to their existing £19 billion of debt.

They've run up this bill by paying out huge amounts to bosses and shareholders instead of investing in our water infrastructure.

It's time for water to be run for people, not profit.

Another corporate bailout at the expense of ordinary taxpayers.

This £3bn loan will ultimately be met through higher bills — but it won't fix the underlying problem:

Reckless mismanagement which has, again, put shareholders above the public.
