New polling from Data for Progress and Fossil Free Media finds that voters believe that oil and gas companies misled the public about the climate damages their products would cause and should be on the hook for some of the costs. Moreover, voters oppose providing oil and gas companies legal immunity from lawsuits and legislation seeking to recover climate-related damages.

Trump is trying to ban states from holding oil and gas companies accountable for climate costs, and make working people clean up polluters' mess.
