Ultimately, this is a build through the draft team. The issue is that while they have whiffed on recent mid tier free agents, they have also whiffed on many of their draft picks. If they want to continue to let A list players go when it’s time to pay, they have to invest more resources into the FO.

I would argue it’s an argument against guaranteed money for mid-low tier guys. It should be an argument FOR giving guaranteed money to your studs when it’s time for a 2nd and 3rd contract.

I think it might be time to start thinking about how to fix this team for next year… any ideas?!
