Losing weight, feeling great, but yesterday as I was going for a walk, I saw guys watching me. I want exercise, but I'm also beginning to think I need my husband to join me every time I go walking. Not thrilled I'm becoming more at risk of harassment and assault without a chaperone. I hate this.

The past 1.5 years I haven't been able to sleep more than 4 hrs without prescription sleep aid. Literally my body's changing & I don't have my 30 yr old metabolism. But this medicine--I am dieting, exercising, & actually seeing change! My metabolism has help! If I need glasses to read, why not this?

The GLP-1 medication has been a total game changer. I was beating myself up like it was my fault & doing something wrong, wondering why I wasn't losing weight with diet & exercise. Literally body chemistry changed, metabolism tanked, & sleep patterns have been trash.

*happy dance* I just weighed myself & have hit 170 pounds! I haven't been this light in years. I'm still 40 pounds away from my goal, but hot damn! I've lost 25.6# since May 18. I am starting to like my reflection again. ❤️ Shit, it's really possible...

Finally watched The Conclave.
Is it just me... Or is it like a religious version of 12 Angry Men? 😆 I mean, it was a good movie. But it just occurred to me that there's another play/movie about a group of people sequestered away to deliberate after somebody had been found dead.

In my experience as a musician with a brief stint as a bartender, I found the folks who tip best are broke or underpaid. The people who barely tip or not at all are most often wealthy. The wealthy hog resources while the poor share. Why is that? What's the psychology? Any psychologists out there?

I'm getting really cynical (obviously). We just watched Girl You Know It's True (on Peacock) and their whole story just feels like futility. And it never stops. Free labor. That's what the rich want. Slave labor. AI will make the rich richer and the poor die in the gutter without a drop of hope.

And every single consumer knows AI is taking over, and they treat it like easy candy, like it's a game. It'll be a really fun fucking game when people start realizing that by 2030 40% of all the global companies want to use AI and cut out human labor. It'll be real cute then, I'm sure. *Sigh*

What will record labels or film companies need from actors or artists? Because AI won't talk back, AI doesn't demand autonomy, AI is their slave to do with as they wish, and it's all profits. And today people love watching AI videos and using them on TikTok. We've already accepted it as inevitable.

I don't doubt their story for one second. And with there now being satellite radio stations dedicated to AI music, they don't need musicians at all. Why even fucking bother being a creator in this world? Just wait until they make fully AI movies using voice trained AI. It already looks convincing.

Being a smaller band isn't nearly so bad, but I will say, when you make an album, get tshirts, CDs, artwork, promo, all that, it is extremely expensive, all at your own expense, and everyone else gets paid before you do. The music machine breaks people, except for the ones who stand to profit.

They plied them with liquor and drugs and women to sedate them into compliance, and the execs & producer got away with it, until they didn't, and then they blamed the victims.

The words in my head... I'm trying to verbalize my thoughts. The rich white producers and execs saw two handsome, young, exotic Black men and decided to own them, profit off them. Wear them like blackface while those guys had no recourse. The industry raped their identities and stole their voices.

Milli Vanilli... Two young guys poor as dirt living in a garage got picked up by a producer promising riches. Parents abandoned them, they had no one. Finally someone offered a better life, but then they were treated like possessions, not people. They literally didn't have a voice in the matter.
