Makes me think of the people who put one star reviews on items they love because the delivery was delayed or the shipping box was damaged.

A spoonful of cream colored ice cream seen from above. The spoon goes off to the right and is silver colored. Behind the spoonful is a stainless steel bowl with more ice cream in it.

I didn't have enough heavy cream to make this batch of ice cream (about 1/2 cup short) so I added some melted butter to it. OMG this buttercream frosting ice cream is so good. I am going to use butter in the next ice cream batch to see if it has the same effect.

A cloudy rocky beach. The clouds take up the top third of the frame and are grays and pinks from the sunset. The middle third of the frame is a blue gray rough ocean with waves breaking into white on the beach which is just visible going to the right of the frame. There is a land outcropping on the horizon that is dark gray/black coming into the frame from the right and stretching halfway into the frame between the ocean and the sky. The foreground and bottom third of the frame is the only part in focus and is a collection of rocks and pebbles of various hues. Most of them are gray and tan all of them are wet. Balanced on a black rock about one third of the frame from the right is a small rock that is probably made of quartz. It is white and cloudy and stands out against all of the gray in the frame.

To #All National Guard Personnel:

Today was the 13 year old's birthday party. It was a small party and fantastic. A tent (where they closed themselves in to sing together), hot dogs and s'mores over a fire pit, riddles, jokes, and much laughter.
We have to take moments to acknowledge the good in this world.

Sometimes us white folks just have to look into the mirror and tell ourselves this is not something for me.
This is one of those times for you.

What an amazing sight to see and photograph!

We need a bigger national spotlight on this building raid, fam. Agents dropped from helicopters onto the roof. Citizens and non-citizens alike were dragged from their homes in the night. People who weren't kidnapped during the raid had their belongings seized after the fact. This is madness.

I can imagine hospital c suites discussing this idea and weighing the costs of potential lawsuits vs. the "savings" of not treating non citizens to appease the wanna be king.
A wrongful death in the ER waiting room while waiting for confirmation could be a several million dollar lawsuit.

We need diverse representation not only so every kid can see themselves as the hero of the story, but so that every kid can understand that *other* kinds of kids are *also* the heroes of the story.

Representational diversity is important not just for minority kids to see themselves represented, but for the majority kids to understand that they're not the only ones that can be the center of an interesting story.

I got so many compliments about the cake it made imposter syndrome show up. I thought it doesn't look, smell, or taste that good.

Not sure what your compost set up is. Mine is outside and I have a large fork to turn it. It has a T handle.
Leaves are great, branches not so much.
I refrain from putting seeds in mine I had a year where peppers popped up everywhere I put compost.

The St Louis Arch at night being lit by ground lights making it appear brown or copper colored. The full moon is in the middle of the arch and is a mellow yellow. Thin clouds obscure the details from the moon and produce a hazy irregular shape in the opening of the arch. The sky behind the arch is a graduated purple. A few building tops can be seen on the very bottom of the frame.
