Monday was brutal!

Very wild.

Last night, I started reading Legend in the Mists. I really enjoyed the first fifty or so pages talking about how to play the game. I still just over 400 pages to read to finish reading the game, and I am looking forward to it.

I know there are good doctors out there, but it still really sucks when you hit a bad one.

I think that is where my wife's Spanish 3rd edition Players Handbook came from back in the day.

I did manage to use my first full spool of thread, making this the other pieces of a second box and the various experiments with my new sewing machine.

Today, I finished one of the two storage boxes that I started this last week. It turned out pretty well, but putting the bottom in was a pain. I have put the majority of my fabric in it.

So, I have a first finished attempt at a book sleeve and dice tray for the project i have been working on.

It was a pita to make the way I ended up, and the corners on it bug me. But I think I can iterate on this to make it easier to make with time.

Oh, and something to use to tie it closed. I can start working on some of the final version now, but I can't finish without those items.

Some of the sewing lines are a bit wonky, and the fact that the muslin is so light, some things don't hold their shape well, but here are the pics.

So last night, I finished a prototype of my gaming kit in a lightweight muslin. The only things it doesn't have are the velcro closure for the dice pocket and something to tie it closed.

Now, I need to get some supplies like a heavy canvas for the outside, sew on velcro, and maybe some foam.

I'm very happy to hear this! I have missed Saving Throw Show over the last couple of years.

There's not much I can do to help other than try to boost it.

I haven't done anything with the seams other than back over the ends to lock them in place.

As to seam allowances, they are mostly as close as I can make them since I don't really have a project in mind for this other than to learn the machine.

I don't get a chance every day to work with the sewing machine, but most days I do, and most of the time, it is fairly smooth. Today wasn't as much that way, but still, it has only been about two weeks, so it's not bad.

This is a picture of all the bits of quilted t-shirt sections that I have put together so far. At some point, I need to decide on a shape and size and cut all of these accordingly.
