Fair play to Sadiq Khan. To live rent-free inside the head of the president of the USA is a massive achievement for any Mayor of London.

Maybe I haven't looked hard enough but can't see any posts from the Starmer bashers who insist they will always give praise when it's due. I'd have though his efforts with other world leaders to reign in Trump and help Zelensky was worthy of praise. I'll keep looking.

Apparently, according to my wife, "keep hydrated" doesn't mean "drink frozen margaritas", and I feel this is a misjudgment.

YouTube video by The News Agents Playing Bingo Inside Britain's First REFORM PUB

If you want to understand the mindset of the relatively normal people who are now supporting Reform, it’s worth taking a quick look here where The Newsagents go to Reform’s first pub, in Blackpool.

Labour have over 6k elected Councillor’s the Tories over 5k, Lib Dem’s over 3k yet the BBC and most other media outlets are acting as if Reform with less than 9O0 ( less than the Greens) are running the country.

Just in case you wondered, here is Farage in Sept 2022 commenting on the infamous mini-budget.....

Funny how he's changed his tune.

Can everyone water their lawns & soil. Birds need worms to feed their babies, but the ground is too hard

Love to see some polling on whether people think immigration has fallen in the last year. I'm fairly sure a large majority would say no.

Today, I did something I never thought possible... I (finally) delivered the manuscript for Leading Secondary English to @bloomsburyed.bsky.social.

64,500 words.
8 incredible case studies.
1 dream (almost fulfilled!).

On the same day, The Observer reported that ministers had decided they didn’t want to face the accusation from Farage that the β€œestablishment” was trying to rig things against him. All of these arguments are classic examples of Labour bedwetting.
Do we think for a moment, that if an equivalent foreign backer, say Bill Gates, was proposing a game-changing donation to Labour, that the Conservatives or Reform would not change the rules at pace? This is how populists win. They don’t observe norms and rules, while established players do, indeed they fret about them. Moreover, Farage will always claim that the establishment is trying to rig things against him – he’s made a career out of it.

This, from Lewis Goodall, is bang on the mark.

If you’ve got children, you need to watch Swiped – and see how sick their phones are making them | Simon Jenkins A TV documentary has revealed the toll of smartphone use on 11-year-olds’ mental health, and the consequences of addiction, says Guardian columnist Simon Jenkins

Yeah it's time for proper restriction of smart phones for kids. Even a ban. We have enough evidence they're dreadful for us and worse for children. Let's get on with it now.

If your students struggle with GCSE English Language because they don't have the wider reading experience and the mental library to draw on, you need to bring that wide reading INTO CLASS in KS3.

Breadth over depth at KS3. Shared experience of texts that everyone can draw on. 1/
