More achievements from this Labour govt that you probably won't hear about in the media:

Sadly there are people who believe these ridiculous polls.

Yes, and these discussions are ongoing. Ed Davey should know this so not sure why he keeps telling the Government to join the CU

05.12.2025 14:52 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 1    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 1    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

There is no mechanism to join the CU.

Another list of 12 announcements from our Labour government this week . The star is the Child Poverty Strategy. As a rich country we have to do better for our children. Thank goodness for our Labour Government. Sure/Best starts making massive contribution too.

Wonder what today's criticism of Rachel Reeves will be, not having matching shoes, gloves and handbag, a fashion faux pas in my dear old Grandma's day (the 1920's).

05.12.2025 09:33 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 27    ๐Ÿ” 1    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 6    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

We do, not sure if his supporters do, I can imagine them cheering him on yesterday when he came us with the ridiculous comparison of his racist bullying and TV programmes.

05.12.2025 09:31 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 1    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 1    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

He's demanding an apology for programmes like It ain't half hot Mum, he really is a silly little man. I wonder which of his assistants thought comparing his bullying and racism to TV programmes was a zinger.

05.12.2025 09:30 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 0    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 1    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

Farage's defence seems to be because questionable programmes were broadcast it was perfectly reasonable for him to be a racist bully. Difference is those programmes are no longer aired his vile views are still on display every day.

05.12.2025 08:41 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 34    ๐Ÿ” 6    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 4    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

They've been delayed because there is going to be a merging of councils meaning another round of elections in two years, costing the local people yet more money but Nick doesn't really do facts does he.

05.12.2025 08:40 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 22    ๐Ÿ” 2    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 0    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

The loom after their own don't they.

Habit, she doesn't buy it but has the app, it's absolutely insidious.

04.12.2025 23:11 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 0    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 0    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

I don't get it, the hatred is hard to fathom.

04.12.2025 23:10 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 1    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 1    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

I just caught about a minute of it and switched off, sick to death of the demonising of immigration.

04.12.2025 23:10 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 3    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 1    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

Something else the media aren't interested in.

Another one swerve.

04.12.2025 17:47 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 9    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 0    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

True, but they haven't even mentioned it.

04.12.2025 14:35 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 1    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 1    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

My friends 86 year old Mum was knocked down and killed by a van driver cutting a corner like this when she was walking across the road. 100% the motorists fault for cutting the corner.

04.12.2025 14:35 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 1    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 0    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

Another poster (can't remember who) said she was perfectly entitled to call herself a Chess Champion because she won the only British Girls Championship which was held at the time.

04.12.2025 14:32 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 6    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 2    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

And my point was it was already in process, there weren't many objections but he did have to compromise to push it through.

04.12.2025 14:30 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 1    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 1    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

If I was part of the media circus who called Rachel Reeves a liar after the budget and then moved onto calling her a liar about her success as a school girl chess player I'd be cringing with embarrassment when the OBR and the British Chess Championship corrected their lies.

04.12.2025 14:29 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 76    ๐Ÿ” 18    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 11    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

There should be no uneleced people in the Lords IMHO but point taken, though the Tories could give lessons on mediocre appointments to the HoL.

Anybody seen this reported in the media, considering the hysteria around small boat arrivals I'd expect this to be front page news. How is Labour expected to get its message across when our media wilfully refuses to report any positives.

Tony Blair created the highest number of life peers to date, 374. The move to end hereditary peers started before Labour came to power in 1997, Blair had to compromise to push it through, he agreed to 92 out of the 750 hereditary keeping voting privileges, a number which remains today.

What is the mechanism for simply joining the CU and SM, clue, there isn't one. He's doing exactly what he said he would do, working closely with the EU, rebuilding our broken relationship with them and negotiating better trade arrangements where possible. There is no quick or simple fix to Brexit.
