I posted a week ago about how the Leafs' "defensive posture" mindset is actually the issue and again, you watch them play in the defensive zone, and they have no sense of what to do except "get to a spot on the ice." Never seen a team play so passively, collapse so hard, and get seamed so hard

If nothing else, this expands the range of "things to cheer for" this year. Like, for me, it's "nice Nylander plays," "wins," and "losses, at this point, technically, as long as we don't win a lot of games and are in play for bottom 5." You know. Playing da field

Really smart play by Max Domi to hook into the hands of a guy in the middle of the ice. He knows that the refs usually even up the calls. And the Leafs have been really working on their powerplay. So once the calls get evened up, which usually happens, the Leafs vaunted powerplay will go to work

God it's insane how Nylander changes the whole team's complexion

I feel like I say it every time the Leafs play the Penguins. Can't wait for the refs to respect the Leafs vets the way they do Malkin and Crosby. Just flop around and get calls. I'm sure it'll happen some day

Did my first post on Twitter in over a year making fun of a clip of Jay Rosehill on his podcast talking about Nylander but forgot Jay Rosehill followed me on Twitter. Now he's telling me he would make me "look silly out on the ice"

It's a brutal loss for the Leafs, but honestly I feel the most for JD Bunkis, Nick Kypreos, and Jay Rosehill. They have to go on their podcasts tomorrow and they can't even blame William Nylander. The confusion they must be feeling

I don’t think that’s necessarily true. They were out-shot/attempted/xGed last year and went 22-4-4 in 1 goal games or whatever. They’re really bad, don’t get me wrong, and I’m not saying they don’t deserve to lose or w/e. They’re just also getting burned in ways that feel extra shitty
