Yeah - but even with 'down day' you still might need breaks from one another.
On my first trip with friends to Europe, we had a couple down days in the first week and one of my friends STILL was so frustrated with the group and 'hardships' of travel, he flew home 7 days early.

📍 Action Steps to Build Your Route:
✅ Mark your must-visit spots
✅ Research transit connections 🚆
✅ Draft a preliminary itinerary
✅ Stay flexible. Adjust as needed for flights & events
When your trip flows smoothly, you’ll spend less time stressing and more time experiencing. 🌍✨
4/6
💡 Now, Put It All Together
A great itinerary balances strategy + creativity:
📌 Destinations that inspire you
📌 Efficient travel connections
📌 Festivals & cultural events
The goal? A cohesive trip. Not one that feels rushed or random.
3/6
Time Your Trip Around Festivals & Events
Want to see Oktoberfest in Munich? 🎡 Or a soccer match in Glasgow? ⚽️🇬🇧
Look up major events in your must-visit cities.
These can make your trip—but also impact availability & prices.
Plan accordingly.
2/6
Organize Destinations Smartly
Think geography & culture when planning your route.
✅ Travel in a logical direction (north → south, west → east, in a loop)
✅ Minimize long transit times
✅ Group like places together (historic cities vs. beach towns)
A well-planned route = less stress, more fun.
1/6
Start with Open-Jaw Flights
Flying into one city and out of another saves time & money.
You’ll avoid backtracking and get the most out of your trip.
Example: Arrive in #Paris 🇫🇷 → #Travel through #Italy 🇮🇹 → Fly home from #Rome.
It’s simple but game-changing.

Sainte Chapelle is one of my favorite places. Such a surprise if you have never seen pictures of it and don't know it exists, then walk in and BAM! hit with the heavenly light from the stained glass windows.
Photos don't do it justice.
