I want to sleep but I can’t tune out my spouse and kiddo talking. Spouse is letting kiddo stay up longer than usual.

Kiddo wore her costume until I warned her I probably wouldn’t be able to safely wash it and she needs it for at least two events 😂 even though I’m not the one who physically picked it up, I call it a mom win.

Got my costume and my spouse's costume squared away. Now to see if I can sew something for my daughter's doll.

Costume fits, wig ordered, Halloween saved!

Return to campus is put off until at the very least I get a key for my new office, and move everything in my current office. But then we’re shooting for one day a week + events & teaching.

That’s assuming the scans next week turn out all right.

Spouse told her before they even got in the car so I didn’t get to see her reaction or anything.

Spouse found child’s XL Rumi costume!!!!! Let’s hope it fits and also we aren’t late picking kiddo up from school 😅

Meeting with student went surprisingly well. Now for late breakfast, making sure my spouse Eats Something, and then getting ready to leave the house with the power chair for the first time.

Still very scared. But I'm gonna get in that building and it's going to be so obvious my office is too small.

Oh and now I'm weeping and I'm supposed to meet virtually with a student in an hour.

I am supposed to go back to campus for the first time today (just to go into my office and navigate around the library) and I'm so fucking scared. I haven't had a chance to use my power chair out in the world yet. I don't want people to see how I look now. I just want to quit my job but I can't.

Also this 4th watch of KPDH now beats out everything I’ve ever watched as an adult for most rewatches, I think. The previous record was for the Star Trek Reboot which I saw three times but not precisely on purpose.

Game plan: Adventure to Spirit Halloween (which will probably be a bust) and then a Hail Mary on TikTok shop...

I have girl bossed too close to the sun and now I have to find a Rumi costume that fits my almost adult sized 10 year old. Fuck.

This is the 4th round and we're unfortunately just looking for no new growth (though shrinkage *is* a possibility) ... but because we've been through this before, I know one of my cats will be doing morning and evening purr duty very soon. Despite being named for Wednesday Addams, she's very sweet.

No purr breaks for me for another day or so. (Chemo. No one explicitly said to stay away from the cats, but they seem to keep their distance for about 3-4 days on their own. I must smell weird.)

I should be at 1000 calories for the day by now but, I'm only at 700... oh well, beggars, choosers, tummy ache losers...

My life has been reduced to bragging about the food at the hospital where I get my chemo.

And honestly? I think the food at the other hospital in town is better. But they don’t have experts in my type of cancer.

Until I started seeing warnings about drug interactions with grapefruit, I didn’t believe anyone ate grapefruit willingly. My mom only ate it when she was on a diet and she hated every bite. Ah, the 90s.

I managed to clean a place I didn’t think I could reach & oh boy am I sore but I made a lot of progress. I just want to clean this table off so I can put up my ceramic Halloween tree. It looks sort of like this (I haven’t seen it since Feb. because it’s in the basement so I’m fuzzy on the details.)

I went and got my immunity booster. And I started to clean but got thwarted by the very same booster. (My legs started hurting because the booster activated bone marrow in the long bones.)

It's my understanding that they did pursue some avenues for certain files, but that most of the files were kept sealed due to protecting cases that the victims may have brought.

Now the victims are also calling for the release, so that's no longer an excuse
